How does a Car Tracker work?

Some track off the movement of the vehicle or some track from the ignition of the vehicle. Depending on the unit some do both movement and ignition. The TM900 Car Tracker tracks it's location from the movement of the vehicle.
What are the main features of a car tracker?
Key features often include real-time tracking, geofencing, motion alerts, speed monitoring, and remote immobilisation capabilities. This is dependent on the type of tracker. If you require immobilisation please speak to us on 01622 234510 as some new vehicles require specific methods of immobilisation, An example of this is a Hybrid or Electric vehicle which will require a Nemesis 2 CAN immobiliser which can be found HERE
The TM900 Car Tracker does not have access to immobilisation as this is a 2 wire installation.
Can I use a car tracker for multiple vehicles and can I see multiple vehicles at the same time?
Yes, our platforms allow you to track multiple vehicles simultaneously, providing a consolidated view for fleet management or personal use. You can take it off one vehicle and add it to another. Alternatively you can use an asset tracker with a magnetic base which can be placed under the vehicle discreetly and very quickly. You can see some of our Asset Trackers HERE
Will a car tracker drain my vehicle's battery?
No, car trackers are designed to use minimal power, ensuring they do not significantly impact your vehicle’s battery life.
How can I access the tracking data from my car tracker?
You can access tracking data through a dedicated mobile app or web platform, which displays real-time information, history, and alerts. You can ensure your account is private by changing your password in the APP or Web login. You can also share logins for specific vehicles with some and not others. There are no limited to how many access accounts you have.
How secure is the information from a car tracker?
